Grundtvig In-Service Training courses

Social Youth Development is organizing two Grundtvig in-service training which might be interesting for you. Both training courses will take place in June in Kalamata, Greece. We would like to invite you in our forthcoming projects in which you can obtain the 100% of your participation costs, from your Grundtvig national agency. 

Both training courses are certified and approved by our National Agency in Greece and they are the following:

1) The first Grundtvig in-service training will take place from 1st to 8th of June 2013 in Kalamata, Greece. The topic of this training is "E -Portfolios; Introduction to portfolio digitization and personal development". Training Reference No: GR-2013-240-002. 
 
2) The second in-service training that Social Youth Development organizes will take place from 8th to 15th of June 2013 in Kalamata, Greece. The topic of this training course is "Formal education meets non-formal learning, the competence based approach" with Training Reference No: GR-2013-244-002.

The deadline to apply for one of these in-service trainings to your national agency is the 16th of January 2013. As the deadline is very close, please act fast and send us the application form as soon as possible. Then we will send you the invitation letter as well as we will support you for your application process. 

There are three simple steps that you have to follow in order to apply and get 100% fund for your expenses. The first step is to fill in the application form that we attach in this e-mail. All 3 steps are described in the attached file.

It will be a great opportunity to advance your skills in the education field, but also enjoy the culture and the seaside of our city in the summer!

E-­PORTFOLIOS INTRODUCTION TO PORFOLIO DIGITIZATION AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Training course

1-8 June 2013 | Kalamata, Peloponese, Greece

E-portfolios is an in-service Grundtvig training which aims to offer to the participants knowledge on the use of this ICT tool which can be used in Youth work & adult learning. Participants can obtain the 100% of the training costs from Grundtvig.

The specific Grundtvig seminar aims at guiding trainees to create, via a specific e-platform, their own electronic portfolios and be capable of adjusting them to their own and/or organization’s needs. As opposed to the classical portfolio enterprise defined by Stiggins (1994) as cited in Barrett (2005:4) “a collection of student work that demonstrates achievement or improvement” as well as the fact that “ a portfolio is a systematic and cumulative folder of learned material” (McLean, 1990: 78) through which the learner is not assessed only on the basis of a single performance but through a number of separate pieces of work produced over an extended period of time, the electronic portfolio as a means of alternative assessment to host trainees’ learning achievements seems to be a revolutionary assessing technique easily integrated into all learning environments.

All costs (accommodation, meals, tuition fees and travel expenses) will be fully covered by Lifelong Learning Programme the Grundtvig In-service training programme.

FORMAL EDUCATION MEETS NON FORMAL LEARNING, THE COMPETENCE BASED APPROACH

Training course

8-15 June 2013 | Kalamata, Peloponese, Greece

This is a training course which took place under Youth in Action program in November 2012 and due to its success, we are repeating it under the Grundtvig program. You can obtain the 100% of the travel, board &lodging and training costs from Grundtvig.

The issue of the competence-based approach is very important in Europe’s labor market today. As emphasized in the recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 on key competences for lifelong learning (http://eurlex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/site/en/oj/2006/l_394/l_39420061230en00100018.pdf)

“As globalization continues to confront the European Union with new challenges, each citizen will need a wide range of key competences to adapt flexibly to a rapidly changing and highly interconnected world. Education in its dual role, both social and economic, has a key role to play in ensuring that Europe's citizens acquire the key competences needed to enable them to adapt flexibly to such changes”. 
In the same document, a European Reference Framework that identifies and defines the 8 key-competences for lifelong learning is given and this is the reference tool that will be used throughout this training course.

Skills acquired through Non-formal Learning (NFL) methodology are nowadays very much appreciated in almost all sections of personal and professional development. Many studies have shown that individuals who have additional, to their formal educational background, skills and competences have more opportunities to find a well paid job and continue their lifelong learning path.

The training course aims to:
- Train the participants in the methodology of NFL and to explore how NFL can be used within the framework of formal education and also as motivation for reintroducing the school drop outs to the educational system or the labour market.
- Introduce the participants to the 8 key-competences and to self assessment methods
- Explore and create new innovative educational tools/methodologies that can assist the participants in their efforts to help their target group to develop specific competences
- Provide tools for inclusion of learners with fewer opportunities
- Train the participants to create educational tools for their target group

Το εργαστήριο του stop motion βίντεο είναι ένα εργαστήριο που χρειάζεται την συμμετοχή της ομάδας. Θα γίνει μια παρουσίαση της μεθόδου παραγωγής βίντεο καθώς και απαραίτητου λογισμικού ώστε να προχωρήσουμε στην παραγωγή. Πρόκειται για μια εύκολη και πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα μέθοδο παραγωγής βίντεο που έχει χρησιμοποιηθεί από ερασιτέχνες και επαγγελματίες εδώ και πολλά χρόνια. Εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρον είναι ότι χρειάζεται μια απλή φωτογραφική κάμερα και όχι βιντεοκάμερα.

Το πρώτο σκέλος θα κρατήσει από 4 εβδομάδες, μια ώρα την εβδομάδα, κάθε τρίτη στις 20:00 με πρώτο εργαστήριο στις 13 Οκτωβρίου.

Το δεύτερο σκέλος θα είναι πρακτική εξάσκηση (παραγωγή βίντεο) από την ομάδα ή τις ομάδες (ανάλογα με τους συμμετέχοντες). Τα βίντεο θα παρουσιαστούν σε εκδήλωση που θα λάβει μέρος τον Δεκέμβριο στο Κέντρο Νέων Καλαμάτας.

Αυτό που χρειάζεται είναι μια ψηφιακή κάμερα (δεν είναι υποχρεωτικό να έχετε κάμερα), όρεξη και υπομονή...

Την Δευτέρα 12 Οκτωβρίου ξεκινάμε με μία απλή συνάντηση για να γνωριστούμε και να μιλήσουμε γύρω από το κοινό μας ενδιαφέρον.

Ο στόχος του εργαστηρίου αυτού, είναι η δημιουργία της Θεατρικής ομάδας του Κέντρου Νέων Καλαμάτας. Η ομάδα μετά την ολοκλήρωση του κύκλου εργασιών του εργαστηρίου θα παρουσιάσει στο κοινό της Καλαμάτας το αποτέλεσμα της όλης δουλειάς.

Η ομάδα έχει ερασιτεχνικό χαρακτήρα και όλοι είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι, έμπειροι και μη!

Εξτρα βοήθεια ανθρώπων που έχουν σχέση με τον χώρο είναι κάτι περισσότερο από καλοδεχούμενη!

Θέλεις να δώσεις μία εξήγηση για το τι νιώθεις όταν ακούς την αγαπημένη σου μουσική και ειδικότερα να εκφράσεις αυτό που νιώθεις με το ίδιο σου το σώμα.

Το καινούριο αυτό εργαστήριο θα σου δώσει την δυνατότητα να διώξεις τις οποιεσδήποτε αναστολές όσων αφορά στην σωματική σου έκφραση και να μπορέσεις να χτίσεις πάνω σε αυτή την γερή βάση, που λέγεται ‘’ανθρώπινο σώμα’’, οποιοδήποτε χορευτικό στυλ.

Πρέπει να γίνει ξεκάθαρο ότι δεν δίδονται μαθήματα εκμάθησης κάποιου χορευτικού στυλ. Το εργαστήριο θα γίνεται με βάση ρυθμών της Καραϊβικής και όχι μόνο.

Το επίπεδο του τμήματος θα ανεβαίνει σταδιακά μέχρις ότου θεωρηθεί πως η ομάδα είναι έτοιμη να διδαχθεί κάποιο συγκεκριμένο στυλ χορευτικό είτε σαν ομάδα, είτε σαν μεμονωμένες περιπτώσεις. Δεν είναι αναγκαίο να παρακολουθήσει κανείς τις συναντήσεις από την αρχή, διότι με την πάροδο του χρόνου θα δημιουργηθούν κι άλλες ομάδες, σύμφωνα με τις δυνατότητες των συμμετεχόντων.

Ας χορέψουμε…!

Έρχεται το 4ο Φεστιβάλ Δρόμου του Κέντρου Νέων Καλαμάτας, την Κυριακή 19 Σεπτεμβρίου 2010 στην Πλατεία Φραγκόλιμνας (αρχή της Φαρών)!

Τι είναι το Φεστιβάλ Δρόμου?

Μια εθελοντική πρωτοβουλία για την ανάδειξη και δημιουργική χρήση των δημοσίων χώρων μιας όμορφης πόλης. Σκοπός του είναι να προσφέρει ένα ανοικτό πεδίο για την ελεύθερη και δημιουργική έκφραση των νέων της πόλης αλλά και μια εναλλακτική πρόταση διασκέδασης.

Ποιοί το οργανώνουν?

Ο οργανισμός KANE (Κοινωνική Ανάπτυξη Νέων) και το Κέντρο Νέων Καλαμάτας.

Σε ποιούς αναφέρεται?

Σε όλους τους κατοίκους της πόλης και κυρίως σε αυτούς που θέλουν να εκφραστούν μέσα από τις "τέχνες του δρόμου" ή απλά θέλουν να περάσουν ένα όμορφο Κυριακάτικο απόγευμα.

Πως στηρίζεται.

Το φεστιβάλ Δρόμου είναι μια δράση που αποδεικνύει ότι δεν χρειάζονται πολλά χρήματα για να προσφέρεις κάτι όμορφο στον κόσμο. Συνήθων αναζητούνται οι απαραίτητες χορηγίες για να καλυφθούν τα βασικά έξοδα, αλλά το όλο εγχείρημα στηρίζεται στην προσωπική εργασία των εθελοντών του Κέντρου Νέων Καλαμάτας και των συνεργαζόμενων φορέων. Στους καιρούς που διανύουμε είναι και μια απόδειξη ότι οι άνθρωποι δημιουργούν πάντα το κάτι όμορφο και όχι τα χρήματα.

Γι’αυτό το λόγο χρειαζόμαστε και την δική σου βοήθεια στην οργάνωση και στο στήσιμο του Φεστιβάλ Δρόμου. Το Φεστιβάλ Δρόμου ΕΙΝΑΙ Ο ΚΟΣΜΟΣ ΤΟΥ... ΕΣΕΙΣ!

*What is the Street Festival?
It’s a voluntary initiative to promote creative use of public spaces of a beautiful city. The aim is to provide an open platform for free and creative expression of youth in the city and an alternative way of entertainment.
*Who is behind it?
KANE, Social Youth Development organization and Youth Centre of Kalamata.
*To whom it is addressed to?
To all citizens of Kalamata, particularly those who want to express themselves through the "street arts" or those who simply want to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
*How it is being supported?
The Street Festival is an action which prooves that money are not always the most important element to offer something beautiful to the people. Usually we just find the necessary sponsorship to cover basic expenses and the whole organisation of the festival is based on the personal work of the local and international volunteers of the Youth Centre of Kalamata. Especially this period, the street festival is a proof that people are the ones who are creating something beautiful and not money.
